Prisca didn't say a word to her mom after she arrived at her place, her mom knowing her too well didn't bother to disturb her.
A call came on her phone and she saw It was Christian calling, "hello good morning, she picked up.
"Good morning sleeping beauty, I know you're just getting up from sleep right? He asked.
"Erm yes, my phone was on silence and i just got to see your missed calls, sorry about that, she said.
"Its nothing, I hope you're fine now right? He asked.
"Being that way isn't good at all, I just feel hurt that's all but I'm better now, she said.
"That good to hear, I hope I'll see you today right? He asked.
"Today? I was thinking of leaving tomorrow, she said.
"That's no problem dear, just cheer up and be good okay, he said.
'Okay thanks, Prisca replied.
"You're welcome, I'll talk to you later okay, bye, Christian said and Her mom walked in.
"Bye then, she replied and dropped the call.
"The guy of yesterday right? Her mom asked.
"Yes mom, he's name is Christian, Prisca replied reminding her but she was just looking at Prisca.
"Mommy what is it na? I know what you're thinking o but he's just a friend and beside we met just yesterday, Prisca said.
"You met just yesterday still doesn't matter, remember Debbie that got married just like a joke, her mom said and Prisca was surprised to hear that.
"Seriously mom? What are you trying to say now? Prisca asker.
"No you misunderstood me, I was only trying to say sometimes the people we just met turns out to be the real and genuine friends, you can never tell. Honey i didn't say you should just throw yourself on them when they come okay, you should understand, her mom said touching her hair.
"I think i understand now, Prisca replied.
"Good, now lets forget about this Christian guy, what's eating you up? She asked and Prisca heaved.
"I and Debbie had a serious clash yesterday and I'm just feeling bad because of the words we spilled to ourselves. I seriously didn't want to say all of that, Prisca said.
"Its alright, so is that why you were that sad and sober? I know its not your fault things came up that way so don't be too hard on yourself, her Mom said.
"Mom i value friendship. yes I know Debbie is not perfect, she has her bad and flaws but I can't write her off yet just because of her bad sides. I still see and appreciate the good in her and she's still my friend, this her husband of a person is just a threat to our friendship and I don't understand what's going on anymore, Prisca said.
"Calm down okay, I know you two will resolve this soon, no be today Una fight start, her mom said smiling and Prisca smiled at that.
"Thats through sha, I'll just let her blood go down first then talk to her, Prisca said.
"That's my girl, now let's go because I'm beginning to feel hungry o, her mom said.
"Okay I'll join you soon, I'll just rush and get refreshed, Prisca said.
"OK I'll be waiting, her mom said and left...........

Debbie saw herself in the hospital and wondered how she got there, she tried sitting up but a nurse asked her to calm down.
"Who took me here? Debbie asked as she remembered what she did at the hotel.
"I did, what made you try to commit suicide? A man asked.
"Its none of your business, Debbie flared up.
"Its my business because its my hotel, and I have an explanation to make about how it happened. If you really wanted to die should it be in my hotel? That's so cruel of you, the man said and Debbie was quiet.
"Fine you should have thrown me outside, why bring me here? I never wanted to wake up is this realm don't you understand! Debbie shouted.
"This is not good for you okay, the effects of the drugs you took is still in you. Stressing yourself at this point won't do you any good, a nurse said.
"What if I say I don't care! I don't need this on my body just get me out of here! Debbie shouted removing the drips on her body which they held her.
"Will you stop this! Do you really think suicide is the best answer for whatever you're going through now? Please stop it, the man said as she was struggling with him.
"You don't understand anything okay, its over for me, Debbie said with tears streaming down her eyes.
"Can you leave us for a moment please, the man said to the nurses.
"I'll inform the doctor about this, a nurse said and they left.
"Can I know your name please? The man asked.
"It doesn't matter, she replied and he heaved looking at her.
"I really see you're so hurt and ready to give up, can you please let me know what's eating you up? I can help you, the man said.
"Please just stop this, I don't need any of this now. Telling you my problems won't change or reverse what has already happened, she said.
"But you can make amends. Killing yourself is a act of a coward and no one will respect you for that, no matter what has happened what is expected of you is stand strong and face it. Come out strong and better and make a change, running away from it won't solve the problem one bit, the man said.
"Solve what problem? What's there to solve anywhere when I'm the one that lose here, she said.
"That is why you need to tell me what happened, from there I'll know where I can come in to help you, he said but she sniffed tightening her lips as tears kept pouring out.
The doctor entered immediately, "I heard she's awake and already talking impressive, the doctor said coming close to them.
"Yea though she's having difficulties here, but I'm sure she'll be fine, the man said but she only remained quiet.
"Are you feeling any pains? The doctor asked.
"I don't know the pains you are talking about, I want to leave this place, she said and the doctor looked at her.
"Look at the time, you've been unconscious for the past 3 hours, now you're awake and you're thinking of going, Don't you know the drug effect is still in you? The doctor asked.
"Erm doctor please ignore what she just said, the man came in.
"That I'll do, the doctor said checking her eyes and did some test on her.
"Anyway she'll be fine, she just need a lot of rest, the doctor said.
"Thank you doctor, the man said.
"Its nothing, the nurses will attend to you okay, the doctor said but she said nothing to him as she sat with a straight face.
"OK where did we stop? The man asked after the doctor left.
"Just leave me alone I need to rest, she said.
"Dear this won't help, I know you wish you had a listening ear to hear you pour out your problems, I am offering that to you please don't reject it, the man said but she only shook her head.
"Trust me when I say its no use now, she said.
"I insist, just give it a try, the man said and she heaved telling him all that happened.
"Now you see I've lost it all, I can't stand the shame out there, in fact i am already a subject of mockery, Debbie concluded.
"That was wickedness, I mean he can't do that to you, the man said.
"But come to think of it I deserve it, every bit of it and that makes me more shattered. I've never been this way before, I think my cup was just filled and this is my punishment, she replied.
"Why are you running away from your punishment then? No you are wrong now, you were to stand and face the truth. Yes you did so many wrong things and has hurt a lot of people feelings, you are to make it right and try to undo some of the things you've done. You can't change the past I know but you can do something about the future and the present which is now. Debbie I see you as a strong lady and I know you can do this, the man said.
"No please i can't, where will I start from? Is it from my mom, Prisca or who? Debbie asked.
"Start from anybody you see first, stand and admit your wrongs boldly without fear. Yes they will laugh or mock at you but it doesn't matter anymore, strive for a better you and you'll see their mouth will be shut for life, The man said.
'Oh no that looks impossible......... "No you are going to do this and if you need my help I'll give it out in anyway I can, the man said holding her hand and she slowly nodded.
"Now we are going to make a call to your family, the man said.
"No no, I don't want them to hear about this, i will visit them myself, she said.
"Now can you forget about that guy, nothing good will come out if you keep thinking about him. You know he was just like a mirage, you need to move on, the man said and she covered her head on her palm...................

Episode 35.
Debbie woke up from her sleep and saw a nurse writing something on a book she didn't care to understand, "you're still here? She asked when she turned and saw the man there.
"Actually I just arrived, feeling more better now right? He asked.
"Yea but my stomach hurts, she replied.
"Don't worry, it'll be over soon, the nurse replied.
"Thank you, Debbie calmly said and she left.
"I don't even know your name, Debbie said to him.
"Frederick, he replied.
"Thank you Frederick, she said.
"You're welcome. Your mom called though I didn't pick up, he said.
"Just her? She asked.
"Were you expecting another person? Don't tell me you're still thinking about him, Frederick said.
"Its not that simple, he's the only man my heart came to genuinely love, she replied.
"But it was all a lie, you have to move on, Frederick said.
"I know but with time I will. Can I talk with my mom now? She asked.
"If you want to, but will you tell her all that happened? He asked.
"I think not all discussion should be said on phone, she replied.
"Better, here is it, he said handing the phone to her and she quickly dialed her number.
After 2 rings Sandra picked up, "your married life has start stopping you to pick my calls abi? Sandra asked immediately.
"Eh na, its part of levels. How are you? Debbie asked.
"Fine o, but wait o, why is your voice different? Sandra asked.
"How? Debbie asked.
"You are asking me how are you na its unlike you, I can't remember the last time you asked me that, Sandra said.
"Shey you've start now. In fact I'll be coming to see you soon since you didn't want to stay with me, Debbie said.
"Visit me? No more honey moon? Sandra asked.
"You don't want me to visit you again? Don't worry I'll be there soon iyeh, take care of yourself bye, Debbie said and dropped the call looking at Frederick.
"Have I really changed? She asked.
"I can't answer that and I can't see the changes knowing that I've not met you before, he replied and she heaved....................
Gideon returned home with Kemi and saw Debbie has already left the house, "finally honey its over, he said happily holding Kemi.
"Do you expect me to leap for joy? Seriously I am not Happy, Kemi said.
"What the hell is wrong with you? She's gone right now what? Gideon asked.
"After what you did huh? Kemi asked back.
"After what she did too, so spare me this. Its over now and everyone is back to their different lives, get over it, Gideon said.
"That's very simple to say and I hope this won't repeat itself again, Kemi said.
"If you want it to, now let's end this discussion, Gideon said.
"Don't do that again o and I mean it, Kemi said and Gideon carried her playfully...................
Christian arrived at Prisca place surprising her, "what are you doing here? She asked meeting him outside.
"To pick you up of course, you told me you'll be back today remember? He asked.
"Today? I said that? Prisca asked and he laugher.
"Don't mind me, i just want to visit. Can we go out please? He asked and she rolled her eyes.
"My mom......... "Prisca you're not a kid. If you want I'll ask for permission from her, don't tell me she still locks you up at your age, Christian cuts in.
"That's not what I mean, please come in, she said leading him in.
"She's not at home? He asked when they got in.
"Yea that was what I wanted telling you, but I'll call to let her know, she said.
"Alright I'm sorry for that, he said.
"Its nothing, what can I offer you while I go in to dress up, she said.
"Just water, he replied.
"OK i'll be back then, she said and left.
She returned later with the water and called her mom up.
"Mommy when will you be back? She asked.
"Soon, she replied.
"OK my friend is here and we wanted going out together so I said i should let you know first, Prisca said.
"Don't worry I'll be back soon, you can go, Her mom replied.
"OK thanks bye, Prisca said and began dressing up.
"So where are we going to? Prisca asked as Christian was driving.
"Somewhere far away a bit, don't be scared okay I won't sell you, Christian replied.
"You're not serious, Prisca said but he kept looking at her.
"What's on my face? She asked.
"I just love your smiles, it made me drive this far just to behold it, he said and she chuckled.
"Can you stop now, that was crazy, she said.
'Love they say its crazy isn't it? He asked and Prisca swallowed not knowing what to say.
"Common don't tell me you're a shy type, Christian said seeing her silence.
"You're driving and you are not expected to talk, Prisca said.
"Which constitution says that? He asked.
"My constitution, you need to concentrate please, she replied.
"Yes ma, but know we are going to talk a lot when we arrive there okay, he said while Prisca rolled her eyes.......................
"Let's go out, Gideon said.
"No please I'm tired, Kemi replied.
"No I won't take that, dress up we are going out, Gideon said.
"But to where? She asked.
"Haven't you heard of this classic eatery opening today? I want us to witness it so hurry up, Gideon replied.
"Argghhhh but i don't want to, Kemi said with a frown.
"Don't keep me waiting, Gideon added checking out His clothes................
"Where is this place? Prisca asked when Christian stopped the car.
"Its beautiful right? Now let's go in, he said holding her hands in.
The orders there wasn't familiar to Prisca so she concentrated more feeding her eyes on people and someone walked in.
She looked more closely to be sure as they were directed to a seat.
"What's the problem? Christian asked.
"That's my friend husband, he's going on a date with another woman and my friend isn't with him, she replied.
"Common it may be business or so, Christian said.
"Look at them, do they look like business partners? Prisca seriously asked.
"Hey don't take it too serious, it may not be what you're thinking, Christian said.
"I'm sorry but i have to be sure about this, Prisca said getting up.
"Hey don't do this please, Christian held her hand.
"Cheating detest me! For crying out loud its too early for this and its my friend we are talking about Here, Prisca said and left while Christian heaved covering his head.
"Hi nice to see you here, Prisca approached them.
"Hey nice too, Kemi said shaking hands with her.
"You act like you don't know me, its me Prisca Debbie's friend, she said.
"Yes any problem? Gideon asked and she scoffed.
"I don't understand, are we quarrelling or something? Where's my friend or isn't she coming? Prisca asked.
"Look I don't have such time for this, can you allow us enjoy this moment, Gideon said and Prisca smiled.
"As Debbie friend i demand to know where she is, does she knows you're here chilling with another woman huh? Prisca asked.
"And who's the another woman? Kemi asked.
"You want to hear that from me huh? Prisca asked facing her and Kemi bit her lips.
"Enough of this, I and Debbie are not married, are you okay now? Gideon shouted and Christian went close.
"You must be a joker, you got married just last Saturday and.......... "And its over! Everything is over okay! Gideon cuts in and Prisca slapped him unexpectedly.
"How dare you! Kemi shouted and wanted to slap her back but Christian held her hand.
The officials there separated them as all eyes were fixed on the show going on, "I warned you not to hurt my friend seeing how fast and suspicious your ways are. What the hell did you do to my friend and where is she! Prisca shouted on him.
"Your friend was a bitch, don't tell me you're not aware of that too and everything that happened between us was nothing but fake so deal with it. Honey lets get out from here, Gideon said and left with Kemi.
"Damn you! Prisca screamed and Christian held her.
"Thats enough let's go, Christian said taking her bag and left with her.
"That guy is a bastard, what did he do to my friend? Prisca said in the car breathing hard.
"You should have calm down Prisca, that was none of your business. Gosh you just gave me my first embarrassment, Christian said.
"I'm sorry but I......... "Next Time listen to me and try to resolve a problem without making a scene like you did, Christian angrily said.
"I'm sorry i couldn't control myself when i saw that, its like it was happening to me, Prisca said in tears..........

Episode 36.
Kemi got into the house with full rage throwing her purse on the couch.
"I'm so sorry for that okay, Gideon calmly said.
"Oh be sorry for yourself Gideon, did you enjoy the show? Was the slap in public by a lady pleasant for your coward act huh! Kemi shouted.
"I just said I'm sorry okay, I know its embarrassing but i take the blame, Gideon said.
"Of course it was embarrassing especially to me because you caused all of this! I was called the other woman Gideon do you know what that means! I warned you didn't i? Now look at it, Kemi said throwing her hand up.
"So what do you want me to do now? She's just mad and hurt I did that to her best friend that's all which her anger is understood. You didn't expect me to lay my hand too on her right? Gideon asked and she scoffed.
"Like you didn't do that to Debbie, she replied.
"OK fine Its over now right? Can you please calm down and stop pacing around, Gideon said and held her but she beat his hand off.
"Take your filthy hands from me! She shouted, took her purse and left the house while Gideon watched mouth opened................
Debbie was awake when a call came on her phone, she felt dizzy as she laid weakly on the bed and the phone rang again.
"Who's calling? She said weakly to herself as she couldn't stretch out her hand to take it.
"She's not picking up, or is she still mad at me? Prisca asked her mom worried pacing around after Christian dropped her off.
"Can you calm down please, you're making me scared already, her mom said.
"No mom you don't understand, first time I've seen Debbie in love, yes I know she loves money but the love she had for that coward was real I mean it. Who knows how she's feeling now, Prisca said calling her number again..
Debbie tried stretching again but suddenly felt like throwing up.
She fell from the bed and the drip stand fell too making a sound and a nurse who just passed by heard it and entered.
"What's wrong with You? The nurse asked holding her up but Debbie was only shaking her head.
"Wait wait wait, the nurse said taking off the drip from her and kept the drip stand well.
"I feel like throwing up, Debbie said when the nurse tried helping her up.
"Its just the effect of the drugs but don't worry you'll be fine, the nurse said.
"I feel lonely here, Debbie said when she was helped to the bed.
"Where's your family? She asked.
"Family? Its a long story. Can I please have my phone, its on the locker, Debbie said and she gave it to her.
"Thank you, Debbie said to her.
'Please just take your rest, you almost hurt yourself and its not good for you okay, the nurse said and Debbie nodded.
"Thanks and good night, she replied.
"Night dear see you tomorrow, the nurse said and left.
Debbie checked to see who was calling and was surprised to see it was Prisca.
"Prisca? She gasped calling her name and the phone rang in her hand which she sluggishly picked up.
"Hello Debbie can you hear me? Prisca asked.
"Yes good evening, Debbie said.
"Good evening friend, I know you're still mad at me but I'm sorry okay. Where are you? Prisca asked.
"Did you just call me friend after all I did to you? What kind of heart do you have Prisca please tell me, Debbie said with tears gatherings in her eyes.
"No matter what happens Debbie you're my friend and I value what ever we share. Can I see you tomorrow please? Prisca asked.
"Honestly where I am now I need you, I need someone to talk to, Debbie said.
"Debbie what's wrong? I don't understand why are you crying and where are you? Prisca asked.
"I'm in the hospital because I attempted suicide, luckily I survived but I'm still here, Debbie said.
"Oh my God! Which hospital is that! Prisca shouted...................
The next day Debbie opened her eyes slowly and felt someone was holding her hand, she looked and saw Prisca smiling at her.
"Prisca? She said and started coughing.
"Hey are you okay? Should i call the doctor? Prisca asked holding her.
"No I'll be fine, thanks for coming, Debbie said holding her hand.
"Why did You Debbie? was it because of him?Prisca asked.
"Him who? Debbie asked.
"OK where is your husband or is he on his way? Prisca asked and the door opened.
"Oh she's awake, that's nice, Frederick said approaching them.
"Morning Beauty, this must be the Prisca I do hear of huh? Frederick asked replying the greeting of Prisca.
"I'm still yet to understand why she's here, Prisca said sitting down seriously looking at her.
'I'm sure you know by now, Debbie said.
"I know by now? Prisca asked and Debbie began to cough again and they held her.
"When did this start? Frederick asked.
"This morning, she replied.
"I'll go bring the doctor okay, Frederick said and left.
"Debbie who is he? Prisca asked.
"He's the hotel manager, he took me here half dead and paid for everything. Trust me when I say I don't know him from anywhere, Debbie replied.
"That's by the way, but what devilish thought suggested suicide to you? And how did this happen? Prisca asked.
"I was never married Prisca, everything was fake. The priest, his parents and the love he showed to me was all fake, Debbie said.
"What! So you're trying to say the ring and your marital status is also fake? Prisca asked.
"Sis the only real thing was the indoor traditional marriage he did, the rest was all fake,Debbie replied.
"That bastard! We need to sue him for this! Prisca shouted.
"I don't think its necessary. Remember that woman that came to our place pregnant? Thats his aunt and he was getting back at me for everything i did to her home. Honestly sis I felt it, I was hurt when i saw him going out with another lady. On our wedding night he didn't touch me and he barely stays at home for even a hour. I was frustrated and blamed you, I'm so sorry and ashamed of myself now Prisca. I should have listened to you and my mom, but you both were right about this, I'm so sorry please forgive me, Debbie said and burst out crying and Prisca hugged her.
"That's enough, you need to live and correct your mistakes, suicide won't help you do that, prisca said and Debbie began to cough again more seriously and the doctor walked in with Frederik just in time.
"I was afraid about this but i have to be sure first, the doctor said.
"About what doctor? Please do something about her condition, this coughing is getting more serious, Prisca said.
"The result will be out this afternoon, I already did some test on her which i still have to examine her. But for now get this drugs for her, the doctor said writing something and gave it to Frederick.
"Can We see outside please, Frederik said to the doctor.
"Sure why not, the doctor said and they left the room.
"I know you are hiding something from me doctor, please what are you suspecting? Frederik asked and the doctor heaved.
"I am suspecting cancer but i have to be certain first that's why i'm waiting for the result, the doctor replied and Frederick eyes bulged out.
"Cancer? No that can't be, It can't be it, Frederick said.
"You don't need to be scared, she can be operated anyway depending on the nature of the cancer and drugs will be given to her too to bring down the effect. She can survive with that cancer same way people with HIV are still living, the doctor replied.
"No i won't take this, it can't be, Frederik said shaking his head.
"I have to go now, the doctor said tapping him on his shoulder and left................
