"What is it? Why shouting as if I killed someone? I'm a Muslim and I am permitted to marry as I want, so? Frederick asked.
"And you think Debbie will accept to be a second wife? That shows you don't know her because that is a big no for her, just forget it, Prisca said.
" fine, then I see no need to be here. Tell her am wishing her a quick recovery, Frederick said.
"You mean? Prisca asked.
"Her Darling husband can take over from where I stopped, bye, He said and left while Prisca folded her arms looking at him. She shook her head and went to Debbie room but found them hugging and she coughed which they disengaged.
"Erm prisca I can explain......... "No need for that because its clear, I hope this time around its for real, Prisca cuts in and sat down.
"Thank you, Gideon said and she nodded.
"What's wrong sis? And has Fred gone? Debbie asked.
"Yes, she replied.
"Without even saying hi? Its unlike him, Debbie said.
"Well you see I don't think he will be coming back here, he's wishing you a quick recovery anyway, She replied.
"What? I mean did I do anything bad to him or get him angry? Or is it because I left the hospital yester.......... "No ma none of that. He's only angry he won't be able to have you as a second wife, Prisca said and Gideon burst out laughing.
"Sorry sorry its kind of funny to me, Gideon said still laughing.
"Second wife? That's ridiculous when am suffering because of that sef. Abeg tell him to park well o, Debbie said.
"He has park na, he said your husband should continue from where he stopped, Prisca replied.
"Anyway I have and I appreciate all he has done. When she gets well we will go see him at his hotel or do Yuh know where he lives? Gideon asked Debbie.
"I don't know him from anywhere o, I only opened my eyes to see him here in the hospital, Debbie replied.
"We will see him at his hotel since he's a manager there, at least to say thank you for his kindness, Gideon said.
"I agree with you, honestly he has tried a lot, few people in this world can do this, Prisca added.
"I'm not happy at all, I wanted to talk to him but he just left like that just because he wanted me as a wife when I saw him as a very good friend already, Debbie said.
"So you already replaced me ba? Prisca asked.
"Yes na, you've grown old, Debbie replied.
"Just like that shey? Let me start going my own too. Gideon continue from where I stopped OK, Prisca said taking her bag and they burst out laughing.
"My sweet heart, you know you can never be replaced na, Debbie said.
"Leave me joor, plenty people don replace me already, Prisca said.
"But I haven't na, Christian said and walked in.
"Oh thank God, someone hasn't replaced you yet, Debbie said and Prisca swallowed.
"Don't tell me you were outside all this while? Prisca asked.
"I just got here o and heard you talking about replacement. So tell me who replaced you? Christian asked crossing his hand on her and Prisca pointed at Debbie.
"Ahhhhhhh I didn't o, Prisca stop lying na, Debbie said.
"You replaced my baby with who na? Christian asked and saw Gideon which Gideon gave his hand for a shake.
"Looks like I've seen this face somewhere, Christian said as they shook hands.
"Yea somehow I guess, Gideon replied.
"Ahhh I think I know now, nice to see you two back, Christian replied smiling...................
Its 4 days gone already and Debbie began treatment as the drugs arrived.
Sandra felt something was not right and called Prisca which she couldn't hide the truth from her.
Sandra rushed down to the hospital mad with everyone including Prisca for keeping the truth away from her, "and you, are you happy now for putting my child in this state? Sandra faced Gideon.
"Mommy he has nothing to do with this, its all my fault, Debbie said.
"Now you shut up there! I warned you didn't I? Now look at you, just look at you Debbie, Sandra said in Tears.
"Ma please I already see her getting Better, I kept this away from you for a reason please don't be angry, Prisca pleaded.
"Ma I take the blame and I'm very sorry for making a fool out of you, that was a very foolish act I must confess. Firstly you were right when you didn't want me for your daughter, but everything is changed now please forgive me, Gideon came in.
"Forgive you? What if my daughter had died will be asking me to forgive you? Sandra asked.
"Please I'm sorry, Debbie is already getting better and she'll be out of here soon so I'll do the right thing, Gideon said.
"It wont be my daughter you will put in this mess again! Sandra shouted.
"No ma this time around is true, remember I don't support evil. whatever happened in the past was a very big mistake, this time its for real just as he said. Please give them a chance again, Prisca said.
"Mommy please, I know I was nothing but a big disappointment to you but believe me now when i say I've seen reasons and sense with all you've been saying to me. Life has given me another chance to make things right, I hope you'll give us this chance again so I'll complete. I'm sorry mommy, and i haven't forgotten about all the promises i made to you while growing up, Debbie calmly said while Sandra stood in tears looking at her.
"Who am i to deny you this chance my daughter, Sandra said and hugged her..
"Thank God, prisca whispered and happily gave Gideon a hi-five.
The door opened and Christian walked in which he hugged Prisca and shook hands with Gideon.
"Ahhh Prisca you are hugging man now? Sandra asked when she saw that and they burst out laughing.
"Hey God. Mommy he's my boyfriend, I just accepted him yesterday, Prisca replied covering her face while Christian went to greet her.
"Yes welcome, does her parents know you or you are playing hide and seek? Sandra asked him.
"Actually I've seen her mother since her dad is late, and yes she's aware of this, Christian replied.
"You're welcome my son, please treat her right. You don't know how lucky and blessed you are to have her, she's like a daughter to me o and if you hurt her eh, i will find you, Sandra said.
"Chai mommy, have you turned to investigator now? Debbie asked.
"Yes na, or you want to try? Sandra asked back.
"Don't worry ma, I won't hurt my princess not at all, Christian replied smiling.
"Now you're talking. Prisca my darling congrats iyeh, I cant wait to dance owambe soon, Sandra said and Prisca shyly hid her face at Gideon back.
"Ah ma you'll be the lead dancer of 2 weddings very soon, Gideon replied.
"Seriously? Hey thank you Jesus! Sandra happily said.................
That day Christian took Prisca to introduce her to his family, "are you feeling nervous? Christian asked as he drove.
"Yea of course, I just hope they will like me, she replied.
"He rather, my mom is late, he replied.
"Sorry about that, she said.
"No its okay. So you'll be seeing my dad and probably my brothers if they'll be at home, he said smiling at her.
Soon they arrived and they came out from the car, "who is home! Christian said and walked in holding Prisca in his hand.
"Welcome brother, a young guy came out and Prisca recognised him which he did too.
She looked around and saw the pictures on the wall which she recognised almost all of them and a portrait caught her eyes and she gasped.
"Who is home today? She heard a voice and turned to see her landlord coming down the stairs.
"You! She shouted seeing him and stormed out of the house which Christian ran after her confused.
"What's wrong Prisca?He stopped her.
"That's your father? She asked.
"Yes and why? He asked.
"Get me out of here this minute, in fact forget about it, I'll take myself home, bye, Prisca said.
"Can you just tell me whats going on? Christian asked and held her but she beat his hand off and left............

Episode 41
Christian stormed into the house and met his father seated with his leg crossed, "daddy what just happened? He asked.
"Are you asking me that? And who is that disrespectful being you brought into my house? He asked.
"That's my girlfriend I wanted introducing to you and with her action it shows she knows you somewhere which I want to know where and how, Christian replied.
"Go ask her yourself, am to big for some rubbish, His dad said and left upstairs while Christian looked at his younger brother.
"I know you know her or will you hide it from Me too? He asked and he shook his head.
"She was our tenant, daddy use to lock them outside on different occasions, he replied.
"He used to do what! Christian shouted and stormed up to confront his father............
Prisca arrived at the hospital and her mood was so obvious that something is not right.
"What's the problem my daughter? Sandra asked surprised but Prisca was quiet with a moody look.
"Sis where is Christian? What did he do or what's wrong please talk to us na, Debbie came in.
"Remember that wicked landlord who do disgrace and lock my family out? Prisca asked.
"Yes yes, what about him? Debbie asked.
"Gosh! Debbie you know how I hate that people, in fact everything about that family I detest and i......... "Calm down please, but your family isn't there anymore na or did he chase your family again in this new apartment? Debbie cut in.
"Christian is his son, prisca dropped and Debbie eyes bulged out.
"Hey prisca, was he among when all this was going on? Sandra asked.
"Ma I hate them, she replied.
"But he is innocent, he has shown you true love and has nothing to do with all his father did to you, Sandra said.
"Ma you don't expect me to go into that family as a wife and a daughter in law to that devilish man. Ma he is dubious! Prisca shouted.
"So you'll throw the true love away? Are you getting married to his father and what did he say about this? Gideon came in..
"See eh, none of you understand. Even my mom won't let this relationship continue, seriously this can't work out, Prisca said.
"Prisca not too fast na abeg, Debbie calmly said.
"I have to go now, I just passed straight from there, my mom need to know about this, Prisca said taking her bag.
"Prisca, Debbie called but she left without looking back while everyone sat confused.
"What do you think? Is christian not good enough for her? Sandra asked.
"Ma he's a good man, I just hope they get to resolve this differences, Gideon replied and Debbie heaved.
"When I am here happy that she has finally met someone, now this, Debbie sadly said.
"If they are meant to be I think there will be a way out. Eh eh that man that helped my daughter out, I want to see him at least to say thank you, Sandra said.
"Mommy don't go, when I leave here I will personally see him myself, Debbie said.
"No I want to see him first, then when you leave here we will go see him together. We can't wait till you leave here na, thats not how things are done, Sandra insisted.
"OK ma I'll take you there myself, Gideon came in when Debbie wanted saying something.
"So can we go today? I just want to say thank you for saving her life, you two won't understand the type of emotional breakdown I would have been going through if he didn't stepped in, Sandra said and Gideon looked at Debbie who just rolled her eyes.
"So who will be with Me now? She asked.
"We won't stay long na haba, Sandra replied.
"Its okay, honey remind me of that hotel again, Gideon said to Debbie.............
Minutes later they arrive at the hotel and met with the receptionist, "sorry is the manager in? Gideon asked.
"Do you have a meeting with him please? She replied.
"Actually no but its a friendly visit. Remember the case of an attempted suicide? We are her Family and we are here to say thank you, Gideon replied.
"Oh that, actually he just entered, I'll be right back, She said and left while Sandra just looked around.
"So somebody cannot visit somebody again without plenty English? She asked and Gideon smiled.
"She has to take the permission from the boss, courtesy demands that, Gideon replied.
"Ah ah another English, she said with a smirk and the receptionist was seen coming back.
'OK you can see him, she said.
"Thank you, Gideon said and led the way for Sandra.
He knocked once and opened up, "good afternoon sir and thanks for accepting to see us, Gideon said but he noticed Frederick wasn't looking at him. He followed his gaze and saw Sandra stood in shock with her mouth open,
"What's going on here please? Gideon asked.
"Sandra?Is that really you? Frederick asked taking off his glasses and she began to cough.
"Do you know her? Ma what's wrong? Gideon asked Golding her.
"Please take me out of here immediately before i faint, Sandra weakly said.
"No no please don't go, Frederick said and wanted to come closer but she ran out which Gideon followed her behind.
She stopped at Gideon car breathing hard as tears gathered in her eyes, "who did you say that man Is? Sandra asked.
"That is the man who saved Debbie, now what's wrong? Gideon asked and she burst out crying..
"That is Debbie father, what kind of thing is this na, Sandra said throwing her hands up.
"Debbie what? I thought you said he died? Gideon asked.
"What do you want me to say? If I had say he is alive where would i have find him to show to Debbie knowing how she is, Sandra replied and they turned to see Frederick looking at them.
"Get me out of here, Sandra said and got into the car while Gideon just looked at him for a while saying nothing and drove off.
"Please don't let her know about this, Sandra said on the way.
"Ma she's 25, and a grown up adult and she has the right to know, Gideon replied.
"Hey God you know Debbie na, she's a questioner and radio without battery on her own, please na at least not now, Sandra said.
"But you will let her know right? Gideon asked and she nodded..................

Episode 42.
Prisca arrived home and met her mom in the kitchen, "you're here? What's wrong with your face? She asked.
"There's something you need to know, can you drop what you are doing for now? Prisca asked and she nodded cleaning her hands on her clothes.
"Mom you should have wash your hand na, Prisca said.
"It doesn't matter let's go, She said going out of the kitchen to the sitting room.
"So what's the matter? She asked when they sat down.
"Its about Christian, he's the son of our landlord, Prisca said.
"You mean this landlord? Her mom asked.
"Mom the thorn in our flesh landlord, Prisca replied.
"You must be joking. I mean how can such a man have a kind and quiet son like Christian as a son? Its a lie, her mom said.
"He took me to his place himself and I saw him, I just left immediately. I'm so disappointed and heart broken now, Prisca said.
"Did he say no to the relationship? Her mom asked.
"Mom I left immediately I saw him, this relationship can't work out, Prisca replied.
"Is that what Christian or his dad said to you? Her mom asked and Prisca was surprised.
"Are you really saying this? Prisca asked.
"Yes I am, Christian has nothing to do with this. He didn't grow up with his dad but his late mom family, he wasn't around when all of this happened. If eventually this relationship will lead to marriage, you won't get married to that dubious man and I don't see Christian as that kind of person that can be dribbled around if that is your fear. That man can't do anything to you, Her mom said.
"So you mean? Prisca asked.
"You were wrong if you acted roughly or harshly out there. Christian loves you and you should respect that, her mom said and a car drove into the compound.
Prisca got up and peeped outside to see it was Christian, "its him, she said to her mom.
"Thats good then, her mom replied and they heard a knock on the door which Prisca mom opened up herself.
"Ah welcome, she said to him.
"Thank you ma, is Prisca home please? He asked.
"Yes she's just at my back, she replied letting him in and he met Prisca standing folding her arms.
"I can't believe you could do this, do you have any problem with me? Did i join in throwing your things out? If I've done anything bad to you in the past that i can't remember just let me know and I'll apologize, Christian said.
"Its not you but your dad, Prisca replied.
"But i am not my dad, will you punish me for his wrongs too? Christian asked.
"I didn't want to have anything to do with that family and i held so much hatred for you guys, Prisca said.
"When you said you love me was that a lie? Because you are giving me a benefit of doubt here, Christian said.
"Why should I lie when i said i love you? She asked back.
"Then why are you ready to throw all of it away because of my dad mistake? How is that fair to me Prisca! Christian shouted.
"Please my son i apologize on her behalf, I'm sure she didn't mean it, Prisca mom said touching him.
"No mom she did, her actions showed it when she bashed out of the door and shunned me outside. I just came to see your face probably for the last time and let you know i still care and I indeed loved you with everything in me. Have a good day, Christian said and left immediately while Prisca slowly sat down and burst out crying.
"I love him, I really do, Prisca said in tears.
"Now its not too late you better have a rethink. I forgave that man already now you should do same Prisca, stop what you are doing! Her mom shouted on her...................
Gideon And Sandra arrived at the hospital and Debbie was surprised to see them, "so quick? She asked and attempted to sit down.
"Yes, thats because we didn't see him, Sandra replied.
"Maybe he went for a meeting or so. Is it because of that your faces looks like Pounded okro? Debbie asked.
"Bia you are insulting us o. How can our face look like pounded okro? Sandra said and Debbie laughed.
"Sorry o, the doctor just left few minutes ago and he said am responding to the treatment, Debbie happily said.
"Thats good dear, Gideon said and the door opened.
"Oh here he is, welcome sir, Debbie said while Sandra stood surprised.
He went closer to Debbie and touched her forehead slowly saying nothing while she sat confused wondering why he's doing that, "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, Frederick calmly said.
"Who are you and what do you want here? Sandra asked.
"Oh mommy he's the person you were looking for. Sir this is my mom, she actually wanted to thank you for your kindness but you were not around, Debbie said introducing them.
"But we did met, why did you lie to her? Frederick asked Sandra.
"Sorry? Debbie asked confused and Gideon coughed when Sandra looked at him not knowing what to say.
"Looks like she doesn't know yet, are you going to tell her or should i do that myself? Frederick asked Sandra.
"Please what is going on here, have you two met before? Debbie asked.
"Yes and I think she's about to know everything now, maybe today is the right time after all. And don't make it look am a terrible mother here, because it was all your fault, Sandra said facing him..
"How is it my fault? That you were pregnant without my knowledge? Frederick asked.
"Yes, that you impregnated Me and traveled without coming back till I gave birth. That you ruined my future and made me run away till date, that you made me take care of our child singlehandedly with no single help, and that you left and not even one day did you care to return back to that village to see the village girl you abandoned, Sandra said.
"I never left as you think, my time was up there and i had no idea you were pregnant, Frederick said.
"Can someone explain what is going on here now! Debbie shouted seeing the drama displaying before her and Sandra sniffed facing her.
"Sir Frederick you know who saved your life is your father, Sandra dropped..
"Wh...wh...wh...what is she saying? Debbie said chocked up as Gideon held her.
"How did it happen? You told Me he was dead! Debbie shouted.
"I'm sorry I had to tell you that because I couldn't believe I will see him ever again. I know you Debbie, you would have made me empty this world to find him and I had to lie to you, Sandra said.
"How did it happen! Debbie shouted as tears streamed down her face.
"Debbie please can you calm, we will surely tell you everything, Frederick said and Gideon hugged her as she cried on him......
"I got admission at a very young age, at 22 I was already serving and that was where i met your mother in the secondary school i was posted to teach Economics. Your mother was a very bold and courageous young girl. One day, to her I made a mistake while marking her script in the test i gave the class and i scored her low. She bashed into the office and met me confronting me seriously why i should fail her and pass the rest. I was kind of surprised and wanted to react but then i fell in love with her actions and checked the script out again but found out i didn't score her wrongly as she claimed. She actually failed the test and it wasn't my fault, I had to sit her down and showed all her wrongs and that was how our love story started.
We became friends from there but my time there was already far spent. When i wanted leaving we had a little misunderstanding which my fellow colleagues then convinced me to forget about her and all of that. But i left a note and some cash to your best friend to give it to you, or didn't you see it? Frederick asked and Sandra looked at him..
"What note and cash are you talking about? She asked...............
